Drena DeNiro is an actress, filmmaker and producer. She has worked in and on several Films, Stage and Television productions. Most recently she appears in David O'Russel’s 'Joy' and the upcoming biopic of Middle Weight Champion Roberto Duran in ‘Hands Of Stone’. 

Drena was formerly a DJ in club, events and runway shows. She also modeled for many years and was the model, muse and Music Design Consultant for Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani. 

In 2001 Drena wrote, directed and produced the short film documentary ‘Girls and Dolls’, which was highlighted on the PBS’ Reel New York and the IFC Channel Indie Shorts Series. The 24 minute film was about a young woman’s journey growing up in inner city poverty and chaos, and finding solace, creativity, her sexuality and ultimately a successful career in her unique and outrageous doll collection. It won her an award at the New York Independent Film and Video Festival for Best Directorial Debut in Documentary.

She was also one of the founding Orphan Sponsorship Coordinators for the Not for Profit Organization, Kageno.

Drena currently lives in New York City with her son and is now writing and producing a series for cable TV.
